Omakase / Chef's Choice

*Takeout is unavailable for this type of dining experience.

What is "Omakase"?

Pronounced "oh-mah-kah-seh"

Omakase is a Japanese phrase that means "It's up to you" (Based on the Japanese characters for "entrust") and basically means “chef’s choice".

The true reason for omakase is to be able to experience the best items that are available at that time. It is a great way to discover and re-discover new sushi items that you may have tried in the past or never thought to try at all. If you are new to omakase, please keep in mind what to expect from your dining experience. You must be prepared to eat things that you may have never thought of trying.

Guests ordering omakase style expect the chef to be innovative, non-traditional and surprising in the selection of dishes, and the meal should be a feast for all the senses, orchestrated by the chef. We strive to make ordering omakase style the best experience possible; however, please be open minded about our creative dishes. We encourage our guests to make requests to our chefs about their likes and dislikes to maintain that goal. You will receive the highest quality fish Otaku currently has in stock.
